Project Description

HELPING THROUGH LISTENING

The Parenting Center’s Clinical Counseling program provides a broad range of counseling/therapy services including: individual therapy for adolescents and adults, marital and couples counseling, family counseling, play therapy, and group therapy. Services are designed to improve individual and family functioning.

Our clinicians are LPC’s LMFT’s LCSW’s and licensed PhD’s who are trained in a wide range of and most up to date therapies and modalities to meet the individual and/or family’s needs. Our therapists are trained to help with divorce, anger management, building healthy attachments, parenting issues, family systems, victims of abuse/neglect, and other acute and developmental traumas.

play therapy

For children, a counselor at The Parenting Center may use various play therapy techniques as a way of helping them address and resolve problems.

This approach builds upon a child’s normal methods of communication and learning by encouraging them to express their feelings through play.

Through play therapy, children learn to communicate with others, understand and express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills and learn a variety of ways to relate to others.
