Program | Family Life – Future First

Reports to | Senior Director of Programs

Summary | The Future First project within the Family Life department was created to reach high school age students who may have a history of Adverse Childhood Experiences. This project provides a comprehensive approach to educate youth on contraception and abstinence for the prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) through medically accurate information and promoting a healthy and successful transition to adulthood. This will be accomplished though encouragement of healthy communication, employment skills, healthy life skills, skills for employment, and financial literacy by utilizing the Dibble Institute’s curriculum Love Notes EBP.

Responsibilities and Duties |

  • Prepare for classes by reviewing materials and curriculum
  • Teach Love Notes EBP curriculum to students at area high schools
  • Distribute and input student surveys and administer and grade pretests/posttests
  • Keep a high level of engagement with students
  • Create and maintain relationships with Tarrant County high schools and other youth-serving organizations

Requirements | Bachelors Degree

Experience |

  • Knowledge of child development and child abuse prevention strategies
  • Knowledge of teen development and healthy teen relationships
  • Must have public speaking and group facilitation abilities
  • Must be able to relate to teenagers from culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding clients and agency business
  • Must have own reliable transportation, liability insurance and a valid Texas driver’s license

Salary / Compensation Package | $40,000. 401k with up to 5% company match, flex schedule work location, 10 paid holidays per year with 1 floating holiday, generous PTO.
